In the United States, overall amphibian population declines have been documented. Experts around the world agree that widespread and localized declines in amphibian populations have been the result of intrinsically correlated factors including global warming, loss of habitat, novel infectious diseases, and invasive species. In this virtual event, hosted by Dr. Roberto Brenes, Associate Professor of Biology, we will explore the most important factors contributing to the decline of amphibian populations, particularly the decline of early breeding frogs’ populations at the Prairie Springs field station.
